As summer winds down schools are gearing up to welcome students back, some for the first time since March of last year. At OCEAA — Orange County Educational Arts Academy — a TK-8th grade school in Santa Ana, preparations for the new academic year were special for an additional reason. Partnering with PPG’s Colorful Communities, UC Irvine’s School of Education, and local artist Brian Peterson, the school was able to reimagine their playground area. The ESI Video team was onsite to record the volunteers as they transformed the inner-city blacktop with color and engaging educational opportunities.
Along with capturing b-roll and time-lapse footage of this process, we also conducted interviews with the key creatives behind the project.
